Are your products legal to use in my state?
Trapping regulations vary by state and species. It is your responsibility to know and follow the laws in your area. We recommend checking with your state's wildlife agency before purchasing or using any trapping equipment. North American Trapper sells products for legal, ethical wildlife management purposes only.

Product Selection
How do I choose the right lure or bait for my target species?
Choosing the right lure depends on the species you're targeting, the time of year, and the set location. As a general guide:
- Raccoon: Fish-based lures, sweet baits, or call lures work well.
- Coyote & Bobcat: Gland lures, food lures, and curiosity lures are effective.
- Beaver: Castor-based lures and poplar or willow bait are top choices.
- Mink & Muskrat: Fish oil, musk-based lures, and fresh bait work great.

What's the difference between snare cables and cable stakes?
Snare cables are the looped wire used to catch an animal, while cable stakes are the anchoring devices that secure the snare to the ground or a fixed object. Both are essential components of a complete snare set — the cable does the catching, and the stake keeps everything in place. Many of our snare kits include both.
What's included in your trapping packages?
Our trapping packages vary by kit, but most include a selection of traps, lures or baits, and instructional materials. Each product listing includes a full description of what's included. If you have questions about a specific package, contact us and we'll be happy to help.
How do I set up a trap properly?
Proper trap setup depends on the trap type and target species. We recommend watching our instructional videos and reading the setup guides included with your order. Shipping
How long does shipping take?
We ship most orders within 24 hours of purchase. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number so you can follow your package every step of the way. Delivery times vary by carrier and destination, but most domestic orders arrive within 3–7 business days.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we primarily ship within the United States. Please contact us if you have questions about international shipping availability for your location.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of purchase. Returned items are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Items must be in their original, unused condition to qualify for a return. To initiate a return, please contact us with your order number and reason for return.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
If your order arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, please contact us right away at our contact page. We'll make it right as quickly as possible.
