North American Trapper™ Trapper’s Wax is a high-performance, non-cracking white trap wax designed to protect steel traps used in both land and water trapping applications. This odor-free wax forms a durable, protective coating that helps preserve traps while maintaining a clean, non-reactive surface in the field.

When applied correctly, the wax dries clear and evenly coats all steel surfaces, helping reduce corrosion and improve long-term trap durability. It is suitable for use on a wide range of trapping equipment and is designed for serious trappers who prepare their gear for demanding field conditions.

How to Use:

  • Use a large container so traps can be fully submerged
  • Fill container approximately halfway with wax
  • Heat wax to over 230°F
  • Do not allow wax to smoke; reduce heat if smoking occurs
  • Dip clean, dry traps into melted wax
  • Leave traps submerged for 20–30 seconds for full coating
  • Remove and allow traps to dry completely before use
